We balance environmental stewardship with innovative timber solutions, protecting biodiversity while creating sustainable products for a greener future.
Rex Forestry is working to develop sustainable timber plantations and conservation zones within this concession areas. Our goal is to establish and operate globally competitive, high-quality commercial forestry plantations that produce veneer, plywood, and other timber products in an environmentally responsible manner.

We specialize in the sustainable development and management of commercial hardwood plantations for the production of high-quality veneer logs from Gmelina arborea, Eucalyptus pellita and Acacia mangium.
Our trees provide essential habitats and refuge for wildlife across Nigeria’s rapidly changing landscapes. As the country continues to lose forest cover at an alarming rate, these protected green areas become critical sanctuaries for birds, mammals, reptiles, and countless plant species that depend on forest ecosystems to survive. Nigeria is among the nations with the fastest rates of forest loss in the world. Between 2001 and 2024, the country lost more than 1.25 million hectares of tree cover, a decline driven by logging, agricultural expansion, urban growth, and fuelwood demand. In 2024 alone, Nigeria recorded a loss of 250,000 hectares of natural forest, contributing significantly to carbon emissions and biodiversity decline.
At Rex Forestry, sustainability guides every aspect of how we grow, protect, and manage our forest landscapes. Our commitment extends across environmental stewardship, community wellbeing, and responsible governance.
We invest in biodiversity conservation, carbonpositive forest management, and safe, efficient operations supported by robust HSE systems.
Our sustainability approach is deeply rooted in partnership with neighbouring communities. Through our structured CSR Work Plan, developed through ongoing stakeholder engagement and FPIC principles, we deliver projects that address real community needs. These include:
Together with our communities, we are building a sustainable landscape—one that protects biodiversity, strengthens local economies, and creates shared longterm value for people and the planet.
